Excel Palace Hotel – Hotel near airport in Yangon

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. While the staff were really friendly and accommodating, the overall place felt quite worn down and in need of repairs. The dining options were also quite limited, and I ended up being charged for several small amenities that I expected would be complimentary. Given the price, I expected a bit more value for my stay.

My stay at the hotel was a bit of a mixed bag. The staff were exceptionally helpful and welcoming, which made my experience pleasant. However, the room was rather dated and in need of some renovations, and the breakfast left much to be desired. Overall, it felt overpriced for what was offered, but it had some redeeming qualities.

My stay at this hotel was quite disappointing. The room had a horrible smell and was not clean at all, with hair everywhere and a stinky bed. I couldn't wait to leave and wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. On a positive note, it was close to some local restaurants and had a unique charm as an old private home, but those positives don't outweigh the negatives.

While the staff was accommodating, the breakfast was underwhelming, served off-site with very limited options. I appreciated the location and the nature elements around, but overall, it felt like the management could improve various aspects of the hotel.

The building has character but is quite dated, which detracts a bit from the overall experience. The breakfast offered was decent, but I wish there had been more variety. Overall, it's a good budget option, but the facilities and dining could use some improvement.
